About

Durham University is a globally outstanding centre of teaching and research excellence made up of a collegiate community.  Durham University Boat Club has a history dating back to 1877 with wins at Henley Royal Regatta since 1881.

What is it like?

The club also provides an encouraging yet enthusiastic environment in which athletes can grow as not only an individual, but as a crew, thus enriching their university experience. DUBC cultivates student athletes whose sporting and academic successes go hand in hand.

Durham Pathway

Training programmes specifically tailored for athletes challenging for seats in the GB U23 squad, proven to be successful on both the national and international stages.

Durham University Boat Club’s High Performance Programme is recognised and supported by the GB Rowing Team and funded through the National Lottery. For many years the club has been a feeder for U23 Great British athletes, many of whom have gone on to represent their country in the senior squad at World Championships and the Olympics, proving to be a major stepping stone in athletes journeys to things greater and beyond.
