Record number of Club and Schools’ marquees to line Dorney Lake
The National Schools’ Regatta 2024 is delighted to announce that 76 Clubs and School supporters have committed to support junior rowing over the 3 days of the regatta.
One of the unique aspects of the 77-year-old regatta is the festival atmosphere, created by the many colourful marquees lining the lakeside. Every year, junior rowing fans create bespoke areas for the competitors to relax between races and for supporters to gather and cheer on the crews racing. The fabulous atmosphere at National Schools is co-created by parents, coaches and volunteers working together with the competitors in a supportive environment. The regatta committee would like to thank everyone who dedicates time and energy into creating these club spaces. The line of colourful marquees and various club or school flags fluttering in the wind create a very special backdrop to the intense racing taking place on the water.
