Elston Consulting welcomed as Principal Partner

National Schools’ Regatta welcomes Elston Consulting as principal partner for the 2023 Regatta. This is part of a multi-year commitment to support the regatta. Support from Elston Consulting means the National Schools’ Regatta Committee are able to live-stream the event. Our ability to offer this service to supporters across the UK (and around the world) would not be possible without the longer term commitment from Elston Consulting. In addition we are able to keeping competitor entry fees as low as possible. Furthermore, the National Schools’ Regatta Charity will continue to make grants to clubs and schools across the UK to increase access to rowing. Chairman, George Hammond, says,

“We are very grateful to Elston for their support in helping to bring the Regatta back to its full format following the disruption of Covid in 2020 and 2021. We remain committed to ensure we offer a first class competition experience to as wide an entry as possible, the highest quality racing, and can be watched by anyone. The generosity and support of our official partners is key in that respect.”

National Schools’ Regatta is the UK’s premiere rowing event for junior rowers. With entries coming in from clubs and schools across the UK and Ireland we will welcome nearly 5,000 competitors for three days of exciting racing.

The Regatta was founded by Desmond Hill OBE and has been held every year since 1947, except 1987 (storms) and 2020 (Covid). In 2021, it took place “behind closed doors” owing to the ongoing pandemic. Henry Cobbe, Founder of Elston Consulting raced at National Schools’ Regatta and says,

Anyone who has competed there – as I did many years ago – won’t forget the months of preparation, the minutes of racing, and the lifetime of memories and friendships it gives you and your crew.
